ALU School of Law

In 1996, Abraham Lincoln University became one of the first law schools in Los Angeles, California to offer online instruction as an alternative or an enhancement to more traditional classroom support sessions.

In 2001 ALU became one of the first online law schools in California to grant the Juris Doctor (J.D.) online law degree to students who completed four years of legal education online.

In 2007 Abraham Lincoln University became one of the first California law universities to offer weekly chat sessions that were live and accessible via the Internet.

Now, students simply log on to the ALU website at the scheduled class times to access live interactive online law classes via streaming audio/video broadcasts. Students may also access archived lectures and chats via the web at their convenience. Assignments can be uploaded onto the secure ALU Student Learning Center website.

Professors are accessible through weekly classroom lectures, chat sessions and through one-on-one phone or in-person meetings at the school and through email. Workshops and special subject reviews, such as ALU's First-Year Law Students' Exam (FYLSX) review (digitally recorded for distribution), enhance basic weekly college law lessons and help to provide a top quality education.
